A couple more From Stash projects have made it off the needles over the past week, which is just as well as there have been a couple of exciting yarn deliveries to fill the gaps these projects have left…there is no hope for me!
The beautiful beret in Fibre Company Canopy is done, dusted and has been sent to its new owner.
I really love this hat – the stitch pattern is delicate but sharp, and pretty without being twee, and the Canopy yarn is a joy to work with. The only downside of the project is that it’s very small, so I have gifted it to a wee girl up in Glasgow but think I’ll have to knit the larger size for myself.
Next off the needles and onto the blocking board are these Dave socks from Rachel Coopey’s new sock book which I’ll be telling you more about in the coming weeks. Don’t you just love a stripy sock?!
The challenge with these was making them large enough to fit a UK size 14 foot. Challenge accepted and accomplished!
Now for the winners of the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show tickets! Thanks for the lovely comments and you’ll be pleased to know we are only 9 days away from the official start of Spring! The three names chosen at random by Mr K to win a pair of tickets each are: Maria, Hannah Pauly and Jo Navin. Congratulations and I will be in touch to arrange delivery of your prize.
Finally, to all of you vending at or visiting Unravel this weekend, have a wonderful time. So sorry I can’t be there, but please squish a skein of yarn or two for me!
