You may have noticed, and I may have mentioned (just once or twice), that I am huge fan of knitted bobbles and like to use them whenever possible in my designs…
These are the Spring Bloom Mitts designed for Loop. Released just in time for the arrival of Spring, they will keep hands toasty warm during the cooler days of the season.
I have used The Uncommon Thread Lush Worsted, a rather lovely, rounded wool and cashmere blend with a little bit of nylon for strength. One pair use approximately 50g of yarn, so if you shorten the twisted rib cuff by a couple of centimetres for the second pair, you should be able to squeeze a two pars out of a single skein. I do advise that you weigh your yarn before starting and after finishing the first pair, and as always, check your tension!
This colour is the adorably named, Baby Elephant Walk, but honestly, any colour Ce dyes is fine by me – I’m particularly enamoured with the High-Vis Pink, because nothing says ‘Spring’ like a bright pop of colour!
Spring Bloom is available to download for free over on the Loop blog and as always, let me know if you make a pair as I love seeing the projects appear.
