…but not a pair in sight!
It’s been a while since I updated you on my knitting and crochet progress. There’s been a lot going on in the background – a few FO’s, a few new projects and even some blocking which is generally unheard of around these parts! I’ll gradually show you what I’ve been up to, but in the meantime whilst I was packing for a few days away and wondering what knitting to take with me, I started rummaging through my work trolley. I’m now wishing I hadn’t started!
It turns out I have more than just a couple of socks on the go. Indeed, single sock after single sock just kept on appearing. Some are stripey and have been lurking for longer than I care to think about; several are half finished, but 3 socks are never going to make a pair!
There are also beautifully patterned socks full of texture and stitches to keep me on my toes (no apology for the pun).
So, even though I always think holidays should be a time for starting a new project, and planning what to start is part of the excitement of going away, I have had serious words with myself and 3 of these singletons have found their way into my travel bag to work on whilst I’m away.
But then, there’s aways room for an emergency skein isn’t there…
Go on, confess; how many socks do you have on the go?
