I’ve got so much to tell you all about…
There’s the amazing Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A featuring the work of the late, great fashion designer Alexander McQueen:
And if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, then can I recommend you hop across to the Tate Modern to see the Sonia Delaunay artworks and textiles on display:
For the dance buffs and Virginia Woolf fans alike, the new Wayne McGregor ballet at the Royal Opera House, titled ‘Woolf Works‘ is possibly one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen. EVER:
I also need to tell you about the interesting and thought-provoking book I have been reading – Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty. It has got me thinking very deeply about one of the remaining taboo subjects in Western society:
All of this before I even get to the knitting and crochet projects I’ve been working on…although this one’s a secret:
The problem is, I’ve been thoroughly under the weather for about a week now and as those of you who also freelance will know, it’s a tricky balance to keep up with work whilst trying to get enough rest to make oneself better, and that’s before I mention all the other stuff that’s going on in the background such as the house move and TNNA trip etcetera, etcetera, etcetera…I know that King and I reference won’t be wasted on you!
Sadly this is where my blog has to take a back seat, and so I’ve decided to get the dust sheets out and give the blog a little holiday. I hope to resume regular service again at some point in June when things are a bit calmer and I have time to gather my thoughts more efficiently.
Between now and then, you’ll still find me popping up on Twitter and Instagram, and I look forward to sharing the next chapter of My Life in Knitwear with you here as we pack our belongings and leave for the countryside! Wishing you all well and as always, thank you for your support, messages and most of all for reading.
